SANTA MONICA - DCA Fine Art is pleased to announce DCA Style, a new co-venture with Cynthia Wylie, artist and partner of the cutting edge street wear company, X-Large. Combining contemporary art and modern design, DCA Style will launch with an initial product line focused on fundamental interior design elements such as textiles, wallpaper, tile, and paint. The line will be refreshed with new products launching on a quarterly basis.
“Sophisticated. Witty. Fresh. These will be the watchwords for the brand,” says DCA Fine Art owner Delia Cabral. Indeed, the line will showcase artists such as David Schoffman and Alejandro Gehry, son of seminal architect Frank Gehry, who will bring both verve and virtuosity to the brand.

“From pillows that feature Bogdan Dumitrica’s luchadores (Mexican wrestlers), fabrics covered with Schoffman’s Live Draw!™ nudes, or tiles enlivened with Wylie’s own, post-pop California palms, every item produced by DCA Style will bring unique, intriguing possibilities to the designer’s tool chest,” remarks Cabral.
Renowned Op-Art artist Tofer transposes his kaleidoscopic visions onto dazzling, hypnotic DCA Style rugs. And wallpapers that feature the sly, cheeky wit of Austrian artist Nino Mier and the pop-erotic work of Alejandro Gehry, lend ample texture to any structural surface. The initial collection is rounded out by DCA Style’s wall paint colors, offering a rich, artist’s palette of unexpected hues that are audacious, yet refined. DCA artists actually define the selection of colors by mixing custom formulations that reflect their particular palettes.

For Wylie, after putting X-Large on the map, DCA Style marks a return to her fine art roots. “I’ve been a painter my entire life,” she explains. “DCA Style gives me a vehicle to achieve a lifelong ambition – to combine exciting, contemporary fine art with commercial design in a way that inspires, challenges, and delights those who encounter it.”
